Getting old, how does it feel?

Hey, I'm turning 22 next week.

It feels like after 21, things turn to a quick downhill slope.

21 is your last triumphant age. After that what do we look forward to?

Viagra

Colon cancer

bad eyes

hair loss

peeing 3 times at night

falling asleep at the tv

memory loss

grouchy

tired

worst of all...

nursring home

I know it's all negative right there. But looking at my younger siblings who are still in their teens (and 1 almost there). I already feel old. Time just passed by so fast.

Look back of the days of the young and innocent bliss.

A friend died young, but he had a good time right before he went. I'd rather die young and happy than old and miserable.

One thing that might be getting me like this, is that at my work, there is alot of old people that still try to act cool, but look like they're trying too hard to hold on to their long missed youth. And then there are those who complain about their back problems, missing being young, and are just miserable. It looks depressing.

  1. nah im 18 and i want to die already. please kill me

  2. Keep active, ditch the television all together, find a job that you enjoy and eat whole foods....you will never need Viagra, or drugs of any kind if you take care of yourself now( hopefully). And never get married!

  3. lol...21..that is funny. I am 50 and the only things that you mention above that bother me is a little hair loss. I always was grouchy in the morning. I am in pretty good shape though. I do have some joint pain after a good work out some times. You might live longer than you think so as the saying goes that I hear all of the time.." if I had known that i would live this long I would have taken better care of myself". I am very active. I probably have more fun than you. I have a lot of toys though. Boat..Harleys..guns..guitars..a couple women. Life is pretty good at 50.

  4. I'm so with you on this dude.

I don't want to get old!

Its going to be the worst thing that's ever happened...

    And I'm only 17!

Luckily, both of us still have time.

Let's make the most of it...right?

  5. my answer is;

    It's like this kid.

We aren't trying to be anything. We are the same way we have been since we were the youth of the 60's & 70's.

We are the ones that first took our New Neoprene wheeled

    skateboards into a pool.

We are the ones who Invented BMX.

We are the ones who Seriously took any form of "Free Style" to the Level you have today. Rather it be, Skate Boards, BMX, MotoCross, etc. . .

We are the ones that borough Rock & Roll into the mainstream.

We are the ones who made Choppers Cool.

We are the ones who took Hot Rodding to the "Cool" level.

We are the ones who broke the 4 second mark in the Quarter Mile@300MPH

Give us the respect that is Due.

Those that complain about every little ache and pain were the Whiners and Uncool of Our day.

The difference between Men and Boys is not only the Price of our Toys.  But the Horse Power involved.

I ain't Old until I can't ride my Mercedes Benz powered custom Trike!

(At that point, I'll just shoot myself.)

It you think your Old. You will Be Old.

Think Young, you'll stay Young at Heart.

Besides, The only reason worth hanging around is to see what the ***** is going too happen Next!

I hope my answer has enlightened you to trick of growing old.

  6. I'm 27 and still having fun!

  7. Smarten  up! everyone gets on in years unless YOU are Peter Pan & have that syndrome - its how you live your life mentally that counts- When you were 12 & 14 you could not wait to get to 18 & 19 Right? Only those who feel & think  old get really OLD-accept the fact that everyone and everything ages but get this straight that you should cultivate being  graceful as the years come along-you will also have more maturity( I hope so) and your mind set will start to get you going well in life

You will be  able to be your own  boss, get more assertive, feel more confident, be  more sensitive to others In short you will feel more worldly

So enjoy each year as it comes with a SMILE

Being Old does not mean being miserable - I know more older people who are happier than  they were when they were younger

  8. i'm 23 and i pee 3 times a night sometimes! so yep, that's what you have to look forward to!!!  also if you aren't yet- getting married, having kids, buying a house, vacations.... and memory loss may be good too! every day will be an adventure! ha!

  9. Getting old isnt so bad, even though the worst part of being an older male you didnt put on the list. I'll give you a hint. It starts with ''checking'' and ends with ''your prostate.'' Other than that, youll just feel a mild sense of pissed off and a desire to deliver a punch in the face to everyone a generation younger than you because theyre young and have no idea what theyre talking about anyway.

  10. I had the same atitude but was in the Army. I felt untouchable.

Now years have past and I don't ***** about the pains, and I do like hanging with the youngest daughter and her husband. We BBQ and drink beer and sing to CD's.

Your best years are still ahead of you.

The 30's and 40's are great.
