Getting out of mobile phone contract?

I live in the UK and I am 12 months into an 18 month phone contract. Can someone tell me a way of getting out of it with out it costing a fortune

There is only one rightful way of getting out of the contract early, and that is to pay off any remaining months you have left.

So you would need to pay 6 x your monthly charge.

You signed a legal contract, you are bound by it I'm afraid. If you break it they will come after you and give you a bad credit rating

If the other side had tried to break it by raising prices or not giving you the phone they promised then you would be on here whingeing

Lesson for the future, don't sign legal agreements unless you want to stick to them
