[hypothetical question] If I save a few of my eggs, and then get my ovaries removed, would it still be possible for me to have an egg inserted and then for me to still be able to get pregnant in my own body?

  1. why are you getting them removed? i think you probably can, but ask your doctor.

  2. first of all...why the heck would you need your ovaries removed unless they were cancerous?! or diseased?

second, yes you can save your eggs. your ovaries only store the eggs your body has already made. they do NOT carry a baby to term. that is what your uterus is for.

a baby grows in the uterus. and is birthed from it. the ovaries have nothing to do w/that process at all. they can be removed and a fertilized saved egg implanted into your uterus and you can have a normal pregnancy.
