Getting paid for freelance work?

I did some freelance work for someone over two weeks ago and still hasn't gotten paid for it yet. The first time I contacted him, he said his office manager forgot to put down the zip code and the letter was returned to them. Now it's been over a week and still no money. He hasn't been returning my calls either. Is there anything I can do about this? All I have is his phone number and name. It's about $200... hey, that's a couple tanks full of gas!

I doubt that u won't be paid in any way, could be a bogus offer.

Yeah, I used to deal with that kind of BS all the time when I did freelance work.

Try showing up at the office and talking to someone with the contract in hand (hopefully you got everything in writing).

In the future, you may want to consider having them pay in stages as the work is done.
