Getting power turned on?

Question

My husband and I are moving into our first apartment. I was wondering what steps we need to take in order to get our power turned on and if there are any upfront costs involved in this? We live in Las Vegas, Nevada, therefore would be getting our power service provided by Nevada Power. Thanks!
