What do you think about having just drinks and finger foods?

Also do you think a photographer would do this Prom event for free since they will be getting customers?

Any fundraising ideas?

Ticket pricing?

I have done some research but they don't really give examples, they give a general over view on everything.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Why not try contacting the person that planned it last year or if they aren't available how about contacting other schools and talking to whoever is planning theirs?  They might have some better insight.

It's possible the photographer would do it for free or possibly discounted.  It depends on how much you allow them to advertise, as in put up a sign at the prom with their company name/logo on it.

When I went to prom, many years ago, tickets were $50/couple but we had a very large junior and senior class so that gave us a very large budget.  You may need to adjust up or down accordingly.

Finger foods - if you have any more than about 50 couples attending you need to consult a caterer.  Talk to lots of them and then select which one you like best and feel free to mention ideas that other caterers had.

  2. well it depends, are you the cordinator for your school prom?

For my Prom we had catored dinner, the local photographer and they charged 20 dollars per couple. we had a decorator that went and set everything up with real flowers..

fundraising ideas we sold tickets for barbq plates and we each sold a box of candy that was worth 150$
