Question:

Getting ready for black belt test?

so i'm testing for my black belt tomorrow (yay!)

i'm okay with all the stuff i need to know such as forms, combos, etc.

how should i prepare for it, as in,

what should i eat today, and tomorrow?

what should i do before the test?

i've been told load up on carbs and water. but i dont really know what kinds of food i should eat, so that i dont crash.

  1. Dont eat any junk food today. Eat very healthy and purify your body with a load of water. Meditate on every move, and slowly walk through your techniques. Dont treat ti as a workout, more of a mental workout. The day of, the same day, wake-up early and meditate. Eat a breakfast with a load of "complex carbs' not "simple carbs". The best things would be oatmeal, whole wheat toast, and fruit an hour before the test for more energy. Relax and good luck


  2. I would highly suggest not diverting from your normal routine. Keep the mindset that it's no different from any other day of training and you'll do wonderfully.

    When I need extra energy for training, I like to eat a Clif bar before training, or a couple pieces of string cheese. This, however, is not a diversion for me -- I normally eat this before training instead of dinner.

  3. Your normal routine will do just fine. what matters is that you don't over practice on the day before test or over think on the day of the test. Over thinking causes worry and worry causes you to lose energy and your calm.. Over practicing causes you to be unsure, if your ready just do it when its time to test If you know everything it will be there when you test ;be sure of that. Good luck even though i know you don't need it because you got the skills.

  4. so the night b4 each fish or pasta with water

    and before the actual test eat somthing super light like a salad (very little or no dressing maybe wit lemon) and u should be good
