Getting ready to go to Venezuela (Margarita Island) for Easter Break. Would you still go?

A bit worried about this Columbian border squirmish.

To go to Margarita Island you take the ferry either in Puerto La Cruz  or Cumaná, both cities are in the eastern part of Venezuela over 2,000 kms away from the border. Besides Margarita is known for always being oblivious of the political situation in the mainland.

You shoudnt go at all unless your at some all inclusive resort far away from the border.
