Getting rid of GOPHERS!!!!?

I have tried posion it seemed to work got rid of alot of them but there are some that wont go away. Anyone have any home remedies that have worked? If you do please tell!!!

There are a few methods.

If you are worried about them eating garden vegetables, I would recomend planting a few (maybe 4 or 5) gopher purge plants (Euphorbia lathyrus) in between the vegetables. That will keep them away from the vegetables.

If they are tearing up your lawn, you should use on these three methods: poison, mechanical deterrence, or traps.

Poison would be good if you are not worried about pets, kids, or other local animals.

Mechanical deterrence (like gopher windmills or the machines that make the super high pitched humming) are good methods for no poison, no kill gopher deterrence. However, they are not always 100% effective, but they usually do the trick. Often, they just drive them away into the next yard over, which can be good or bad, depending on the neighbors. (HA!)

Traps would be my first choice. You set them in the opening of all the holes, and like a giant mousetrap, they kill the gopher, and you just throw it away when it is done. However, you might have to buy more than one, depending on how many gophers there are, and how many exit holes you can find.

I have used two different methods peppermint extract mixed with water they can not stand the smell and a small goffer windmill causes vibrations and drives them away.
