Getting rid of fleas?

My dog has fleas so bad, he is allergic to some of the medicines and the others wont work. Anyone have any ideas of how to get rid of them?

The old fashion way is to fill your tub HALF way of warm water...add 1/2 cup of laundry Bleach. ( Make sure he is settled down and not splashing in the water...So, you both don't get any in you eyes, Or your clothing! (And don't let him drink the water.) Have a large Light colored face cloth and wash him thoroughly... you should see them on it and start seeing them floating in the water ..they are dead.  Rinse him well afterwords.  ALL so, ( if you do not have wood floors ) You can vacuum and wash your floors ( specially in along the base-boards is where they like to hide.( Bleach will kill any flea, or bugs)  I had to do this for my dog  also in the past... My Auntie's Sister has been a dog groomer for 25 yrs...and this is the old fashion way to get rid of Fleas. ( NO SOAP) Just rinse him really well .... and he'll be good to go.  I still once in a while bath my dog like this... she loves it and pretty happy afterwards. See how that works for you...once a week.
