I have a bunch of....I think they are fruit flies....around my kitchen sink. Does anyone know how to get rid of them and what could be causing them? I dont have any fruit out-its all in the fridge. Or is there another type of fly it could be? How do I get rid of them?!?!?!

  1. I find them hard to get rid of, but you can set up a homemade trap. Get a large baggy and put some apple cider vinegar

( don't need much) in it or use some fruit slices. Put it on the counter or wherever they are. Do this when you are staying home for awhile. Keep checking the bag and quickly close it up when they are inside and smash them with your fingers.

  2. Hang bags of red dyed water where they can catch sunlight.  The refraction of the light blinds them and they will stay away.  Fruit flies are attracted any type of food left out.  They don't eat just fruit.  You may also want to try sticky traps.  It's not as humane as the bags, but it helps get rid of them.
