I've been looking for my good suede summer sandals for weeks. They turned up in the basement, but are covered in mildew. They are such comfortable sandals, can I rescue them........if so how??

  1. Oxyclean usually does it for me. If that fails, get some Dawn dish soap (totally serious), just a little bit, on a wet sponge, and scrub it out. Works wonders

  2. I scrubbed mine with liq gain detergent and some oxyclean rinsed them and hung them outside they are fine now.

  3. bleach kills mildew

if can't be bleached then soak in oxiclean

  4. If commercial cleaning agents will be too harsh for your suede, try plain white vinegar. Do not dilute it. Just spray it on your sandals. Let is stay for a few minutes then clean as usual. Air dry it after rinsing.
