Does anyone know how to get tea stains out of a stainless steel pot. I make large batches of Iced tea from tea bags using a large pot...I let the tea bags soak in the pot after I have boiled the water...from doing this so many times the inside of my pot is stained...does anyone know how to get rid of these...brillo isn't working. Also...the pitchers I use are stained...how do I get those clean as well. Thanks in advance

  1. Try Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean.  I've used them to remove coffee stains, and they do work like magic.  Just remember to use a light touch, no need to scrub with these things.

  2. Soak it in bleach with warm water for a few hours...if you still see stains you haven't used enough bleach.

  3. bleach is the best for removing tea stains. Add some bleach then add water and let it soak for a while. then wash with soap and let air dry. Also those sponges with the green scrubby on one side work good with some elbow grease  on the pot.

  4. As an avid tea pot user I know of several ways to remove stain.  Either dissolve laundry soda, or bicarbonate of soda in boiling water in pot and allow to soak several hours, or use biological washing powder ditto or diswasher powder ditto.  I have noticed that when my pot is on an 'Intensive' wash in the dishwasher it comes clean but on on the 'Economy' wash it does not.

  5. Denture tablets, they work great down the toilet too.

  6. I would try two things ... either rub it with a paper towel after the pot was filled with boilling water for 5 min ... or soak a peper towel with vinegar and let it rest on the stain ... it works wonder on my usually !
