Getting rid of that baby weight?

I had my baby 6 weeks and 2 days ago. I gained 51 pounds during my pregnancy because of preeclamsia (my starting weight was 160) and I've already lost 38 pounds of it but I'm having a really hard time with the rest. I workout twice a day every day... what else should I do? Try? What??

  1. Give your body some more time. It took you 9 months to put it on its going to take more than 2 months to take it off. I am not being rude I am just being frank. It takes some women much longer that 6 weeks to lose 38 lbs. I think that you are doing great so far and you should really be proud of you self for that. I think that your being hard on yourself, because everyone is different.. regardless of what others say. What works for one person may not work for others. Its not a one size fits all sort of thing. I know it took me a long time to take off the 60 lbs that I gained with my daughter.. I got the first 30 off fast but than the last thirty stayed put, but I had some bad habits that took me a long time to realize and change. I finally starting taking supplements that helped me with energy and cravings and that is what got me to lose my last thirty pounds. I am still losing weight cause I want too. But your doing great! Please acknowledge your accomplishments! Good luck!

  2. I also had my baby about 6 weeks ago and gained around 50 lbs. It's difficult to lose the weight, I agree, and the only thing you can do while remaining healthy is to keep eating good and working out. The weight is probably coming off, but you don't see it. I run 4 miles a day or ride my bike 12 miles, and eat healthy, and have lost an average of 5 lbs each week. It just takes time, hang in there. Congrats on the baby!!
