Getting the lead part in a movie audition?

i just wanted to know, how do you get the lead part in a movie?...iam talking about new actors.....actors that just started in the business.....their first audtion.....i know that u wount get the lead part right away because your new to the acting business...but i just wanted to know how do actors get the lead role in the movie...how do they do it.........i know they take classes and stuff like that ...but iam talking about in a audition.......how do they pass it.......because i know cold reading is hard.?..........and i just wanted to ask if there is any videos on acting auditions...so i can know how the audition process is like?.......thank u

Actors get the part because they represent what the director is looking for  in the character they're auditioning for. Meaning, the have the right look, give off the right vibe AND read well.

If you're talking about getting a leading role in a big budget film, you're right, that's basically impossible.

If you're talking about getting a lead role in a student film or short, you have a better shot even without much experience. There's just not as much competition.

As for the auditions themselves, you never know what they're looking for, so as an actor you just go in and do the best you can, make strong committed choices and that's it. If you're a brunette and they have their hear set on a blonde, there's nothing you can do about that, so again, just do the best you can.

There are no online classes for acting. check out local theatres in your area to see if any offer acting classes. Many will also have classes in auditioning and/or cold reading.
