  1. I have been running for 8 years now and would recommend the following:

I would strengthen the core: calves, quads, hams, back and abdominal (the "six pack" muscles along with the obleks), chest and arms. But when strengthening these muscles, I would focus more on the muscle endurance not the muscle bulk. For more advice for this, I would consult with a personal trainer. For the running part, I would stay flexible as it helps/contributes to your balance (so do the muscles in your core) but also helps prevent some injuries like pulled muscles and shin splints. Also, I would try to make up a schedule where you can run for X amount of days and try to have a long run. I would start off slowly, running about 2-3 miles per run for the first week and increase my mileage per week. Make sure you have the following: a good diet, hydration, sleep, a good sense on how to take care of your body, and sleep. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Good Luck!!!

  2. Just keep working, don't give up.  If you can only go 6 minutes then walk for a few minutes do it.  Keep gradually building your pace.  Next day try to run 10 minutes without stopping.  Don't worry what people passing you on the street think either.  I started running 10 minutes at a time, now I enjoy 40 minute runs no problem.  Look at runnersworld for tips if you really are interested.

  3. well if your training then you should do a training programme for about 6 weeks. if you are generally fit then you should be able to go 20 minutes non stop at a VERY SLOW pace. run 3 times a week. after each week increase it by 2-3 minutes. if you are a beginner then try something like 5-10 minutes to start and gradually increase the time. always look up(as in straight ahead, not at a cloud), not down otherwise it will be harder to breathe. relax your hands(like your holding a crisp and dont want to break it) if you dont relax your hands then your whole arm and shoulder will tense up and you will lose energy.

however if its speed endurance(Which is how long u can sprint for) then ask me cause thats totally different.

         good luck

  4. Don't start out so fast. Pace yourself so that you can go at one set speed that you're comfortable with.

  5. To improve your endurance you are going to need to run.

Try to run and walk for 20 to 30  minutes at least 3 to 5 times each week. Just run until you have to walk and then walk until you feel like running again.

You should be able to run the entire distance in about 1 month.

Relax, don't worry about your speed, run slow enough so you can talk.

As you improve your cardiovascular conditioning you will be able to run farther and faster if you wish.

  6. Run shorter distances and rest between heats until you have developed more stamina.
