Getting to Ballard Locks for tourist..

What is the easist and cheapest way to get to Ballard Locks from downtown for a tourist?

Yep, the guy above me said the best answer for how to get there.

You will most likely be disappointed with the Locks themselves (just boring) but there is a beautiful garden there with really tripped out plants / flowers.

Just take a Seattle Metro bus, they have several routes which serve the Ballard area from downtown. The #17 should be the best option. The fare is only $1.50 which includes a transfer good for about 2 hours of rides. Good Luck!
