Hi Guys,

I'll b reachin CDG at 9 am and my connecting flight to Milan is at 16.00 hrs . So i've got 5 hrs to visit Paris ( considering that i've to b back to CDG by 14.00 hrs ).

I'd like to visit the the jewel of Paris " The Eiffel tower " and ofcourse if possible any other spots around.

I've already seen similar questions , but they date back to early last year . So can someone help me with the latest/cheapest/fastest mode of transport

  1. they are right.  and i think you can buy mobilis ticket at the airport for 1 day so it would not bother you to buy ticket anytime you want to go to another place in paris, that is one day pass.

  2. There is no tower anymore -

  3. The fastest route will be:

1-RER A (direction St Remy Les Chevreuse) to Saint Michel Notre Dame station => 40ish mn

(you can stop here to visit Notre Dame and the St michel Island if you want)

2-Then RER C (direction Versailles-Rive Gauche) to the Eiffel Tower => 10ish mn

If you want to work out the route you can check out the english version of this site www.ratp.fr

  4. Well best in Paris is Train & Metro combination. So take a train to Paris (B3) and get off at St.Michel Notre-Dame station. Check out the famous Notre Dame church here, then take the metro (C5 or C7) to Champ de Mars station and get out of the Tour Eiffel exit, now you see Eiffel Tower.

But keep in mind, the Eiffel tower is only beautiful from outside (not a big deal inside!), so don't bother trying to go up.

Instead visit Napolion's grave at Invalides station (same track, two stations back). Also check out the Arch De Triumph.

Also don't hesitate walking in the streets and having a coffee in the sidewalk dining places, it is awesome!

I'm leaving you the link to the tube map in Paris (you can get a hard copy of it free at any station).
