Getting to Rome city centre when i arrive at Ciampino airport?

Hi folks,

In 2 and a bit weeks, me and the girlfriend are going to Rome for a week. flying in to Ciampino and was wondering what transport is available to get to Rome's city centre from the airport? Is it cheap and easy to find?

And does anyone have good recommendations on what to see and do? we're there from tuesday to saturday?

There are basically 3 options:

1. Take the CoTral bus from Ciampino to the Anagnina Metro stop and then take metro Termini Station or whatever metro stop is close to your hotel. You need to travel light to do this as you will have to go up/down lots of stairs.

2. Take the Terravision Shuttle (www.terravision.it) non-stop to Termini Station for 8 euro per person. If your hotel is near Termini this option best.

3. Taxis from Ciampino to within the city walls (city center) of Rome have a fixed rate of 30 euro, including luggage. Do the door-to-door service over the Terravision shuttle or metro option if you will land up with taxi to your destination anyway.

I think you have got the clear idea about getting in to Rome city Centre from the airport. i would like to help on what can do for a week in Rome

I am not sure, where you will be staying in Rome. If you stay near Ciampino Airport, everyday you have to take bus or train to come city centre. coz most of attractions in Rome is in central Area.

As historical places you can visit to Vatican city, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, some museums are Musei Capitolini In Febrica, National Gallery Of Modern Art, Museo Nazionale Di Villa , some villas to see ,  Villa Ada, Villa Borghese, Villa Torlonia

Other than visiting above places, you can do memerable shopping there, keep money ready with you, you can find lost of items to bring home from Rome. eating at nice places also really enjoyable specailly in the evening after you city visiting.. walk some street than going by bus or train, you can enjoy the Romans life, it is amaizing.

there are lot of buses that they go to rome city center, the cheapest stop at metro stop anagnigna and the you take the metro to the center other buses they go to termini station wich is in the cirty center

hi,

usually from airports here in italy there are a lot of busses which take people right to the city... they are quite cheap and you can take them also fot the retourn trip to the airport...
