Question:

Getting to know him?

I just started a new school (my first ever public school) as a sophomore. I've lived in the town for many years, but this is my first year at public school. My neighbor who is one of my best friends also a sophomore goes to the school that I have just started. I know her and many of her friends, but I don't have class with any of them.

In health class we don't have enough desks for the amount of students, so we have to share desks. on the second day I came into class late(i had a note so I was ok), so I had to share a desk with two boys in the back, and do a little activity with them and a third boy.

I'm going to change the names, but the boys I shared a desk with I'll call Josh and Jack, and the boy sitting at the desk infront of me, who was also in our group, I'll call Max.

Josh, was short and a sweet kid, Jack was taller with and weird, and Max was the perfect height with curly hair, and adorable(they all had almost the same shade of really dark brown hair).

Well long story short, I have a crush on Max. he's cute and sweet.

I have health, lunch and study hall with him.

My problem is, how can I get to know him?

My friend isn't friends with him, and none of her friends are either. At lunch I sit with some girls on my swim team who are Juniors, I think it would be weird to go to his table full of boys, and sit with him, because we aren't really good friends. Do you agree? or, should I risk it and go sit with him, and maybe meet some of his friends, and make more sophomore friends?

  1. yea i wouldnt risk sitting with them quite yet. I think the best thing to do would be to get him to invite you to sit with him. Maybe someday when you're talking to him in class and he mentions some of his guys friends, make a comment about how you really dont know many of the sophomore guys. he might invite you to either hang out with him at lunch or at least hang out with him and his friends at some point and then if you become good enough friends with them it wouldnt be weird if you asked to sit with them.
