Getting up early to walk?

i am 13 and have been thinking about before school getting up at 5 am to walk for a half hour do you think that is good to get my brain going and help me lose wieght

  2. WELLL ITS PRETTY EARLY.BUT YOU CAN GIVE IT A TRY. IT WILL GET YOU READY FOR A LONG DAY IN SCHOOL. SO IT WOULD END UP WORKING WELL. IF YOU FEEL TIRED DURING SCHOOL TRY TO DO IT ONCE YOUR BACK HOME. JUST MAKE SHURE YOU GET ENOUGH SLEEP

  4. Of course. Very good. It would be especially good if you find a good running program online and run every morning. But that's great that you want to get up and do that. Just be sure to get to bed early ;)

  5. great idea..be sure and wear light colors so you can be seen..after a few weeks..you will want to walk longer.you will have more energy.and start to look forward to this..best of luck

  7. That is a great plan. You can get yourself started that way, then you will be able to handle the rest of your day. My only suggestion, because you are young, is not to over exert yourself. Start slow and just repeat your intensity. You may increase it if you feel comfortable doing so. If you feel up to a challenge, you can start a chart on your calorie count. Finding out how many calories you take in against the amount you burn off. This way, your natural metabolism burns your fat off. You will need to set an appointment with your doctor if you want to start a program like this. Otherwise, just getting started on your early walks is a Great Idea. Good Luck. You will start to feel better.

  8. ok ur gonna have to answer some general questions first:

    1) are you a morning person? if not then its going to be hard to get up that early and stay up throughout the day

    2) do you normally get tired after you work out or does it wake you up? for me i get tired and need to nap afterward. if it makes you tired then you're going to be tired in school

    3) (not a question) if you're looking to lose weight i would consider jogging half an hour bc with walking you're not going to see results very fast, maybe not at all, i kno with jogging you see them within 2 weeks.

    4) consider the fact that you're going to have to stretch b4 jogging which will take at least 10 min ( if you dont you will get injured definately)

    Thats it. if you're not a morning person, think about jogging in the afternoon when it cools down so it makes you tired enought to get a good nights sleep every night.
