Yesterday I saw a replay of a football game on the NFL network. It was a game; the New York Jets vs. The Cleveland Browns. Anyways, there was a player that got injured and as helped off the field on a stretcher. I got upset watching that....I know it was a replay of a game that I haven't seen yet. Whenever I see an injured football player get helped off the field on a stretcher, I get upset and feel bad for the player. Why do I feel this way? Is it normal?

Football is my favorite sport, and I love watching it.

  1. It's called having a heart. Unless you were born without one, it's normal to have concern for a player, regardless of what team he plays for.

  2. It's normal and there isn't anything wrong with it. I watch for the excitement of the game. I done care if I hate the other team I don't want anyone to get hurt. They are regular people to and this is just their job.

  3. Its because you are expecting him to be flawless. Cheer him on regardless

  4. It means you're empathetic. Its a good thing. You'd have a problem if you would've cheered in seeing that. THAT would be sick.

  5. I agree, it is a bummer.  But I will admit, I have grown weary of these guys laying down and causing a five minute delay in the game when they get the wind knocked out of them or some other minor thing.  Back in the old days a guy broke his arm, held it up with his remaining good arm and ran off the field to get medical attention.

  6. its called sympathy and unless you are a homicidal maniac its normal to feel

i feel the same way whenever i see stuff like that too

  7. I believe it's normal, but it depends on the person, really.

Some people feel bad, some people just don't care and enjoy the game.
