  1. You'll be fine. Don't be scared.

I got mine out a lil while ago. But i was put to sleep. You won't feel anything since they are numbing you.

Just think about all the ice cream you'll get to eat after :)

  2. i was put to sleep for it and it seemed like it was over in 5 minutes! you'll be completely out of it tomorrow though... so don't worry! when it's over, they'll give you painkillers and you'll pretty much sleep for the next few days... thats what i did! when you are able to eat and drink regular foods again... don't use a straw for a little while! my boyfriend made this mistake and he got dry socket... which is very painful. good luck!

  3. Ask for Laughing Gas. That'll relax you. You might hear things in your mouth, but it's nothing terrible. You'll hear things, it might hurt a little, but i bet nothing worse then getting NINE FREAKING TEETH EXTRACTED!!! Yep, that happened to me.

  4. Don't be too scared. I got mine out last year and I only got numbed too, they also gave me some kind of pill before hand... I think it was something to calm you down.

Just expect to have lots of rest, and honestly for the first 2-3 days your food should be totally pureed. Not just mushy, I tried to eat mashed potatoes on like the 2nd day and it actually hurt. The doctor will give you a pamplet/sheet of what to do and how to take care of your teeth and make sure that you follow what they tell you to avoid any other problems.

It's really not as scary as it's made out to be, and the pulling of the teeth actually takes about 5 minutes!! My dentist told me it's about 1-2 minutes per tooth as long as they aren't impacted. Just try to relax, plan a LOT of rest and plan on not talking a lot... your jaw will be sore.

Good luck and you'll be fine! You'll forget about it sooner than you know it!
