  1. it doesn't hurt you just feel presure on your teeth cause they are moving and for the first couple of days maybe week you won't be able to bite on things but you can just eat soup or something

  2. the first time u get them the hurt a lot

make sure u have som tylenol or advil and some wax for the braces

after a couple of months it usually stops hurting so much

  3. it doesn't hurt at all except at the end and your teeth are sore for a few days eat soft food for the first week.

  4. You'll need impressions taken, you know, that nasty pink stuff they put in a tray and make you bite into. You'll be knocked out so you won't be aware they're being put on. Once they're on they shouldn't hurt. If they do, make an appointment to see your dentist. Make sure you brush well. If you can get clear braces that aren't too noticeable that'll be good. When the braces come off you'll probably need to wear a retainer. Again, go for clear and unnoticeable.

  5. take some ibuprofen before you go, that's the only thing that worked for me. it doesn't hurt when you are getting them on, its doesn't hurt right after either. then, they start hurting until you take more ibuprofen (tylenol didn't work for me). they completely stop hurting after about a week, then you start to feel that some of your teeth are getting loose. thats completely normal, its because the braces are working, they will tighten up soon. the last thing i advise is that you don't eat anything even remotely hard for the first 1.5 weeks, just so you can get used to the braces.

  6. well i had them a long time ago. i remember making molds of my mouth..little uncomfortable.  they placed some kind of glue and then place the braces on. the worst parts were when they tightened them..d**n that hurt...and when my cheek would get caught on them in the back of my mouth.  that was like 20 yrs ago so they may have totally new ones that are much  better..but for all that trouble they were definitely worth it.  my teeth were all messed up when i was young and they look good now. don't be scared......you'll be happy when they finally come off.....
