Ghana overcame Nigeria by a tiny margin of three runs in a nail-biting clash of the ICC Africa Region Division One Twenty20 championship, played at Lugogo Stadium, Kampala on Monday, July 11, 2011.

for 12 runs in the very first over of the innings.
However, the Nigerian side brought things in order by picking up by the opening batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Olalekan-Awolowo-c80158 showed him the way
back to the dressing room. The wickets continued to fall and at one stage, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ghana-c2905 side had lost seven wickets at a score of just 69.
Taking responsibility on his shoulders, Ananya guided his side to a reasonable score of 129 by scoring a brutal knock of 34. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Isaac-Kofi-Otuafo-Aboagye-c64534 chipped in with 19 runs while 16 extras also helped the Ghana side to reach a score that proved to be a winning one
at the end of the day.
While Awolowo and Ofem claimed three and two wickets respectively, Chibuike Iteogu, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adekunle-Adegbola-c41982 and Ramit Gill returned with one wicket each to their credit.
In reply, the Nigerians side collapsed on 126 as no batsman in the late middle order was able to score winning runs. The Nigerians got off to dreadful start, giving away three crucial wickets in the first three overs of the innings.
