Ghost Recon has predicted the Russia-Georgia conflict?

Question

You may or may not have played Ghost Recon, but it centers on a war that Russia has with Georgia and the Baltic states. The U.N gets involved, and the war escalates.

Now, this could very well be the start of such a war. So do you think this is a coincidence, or what?

Have no Idea what G.R is but there is noway the UN or anyone gets involved.Diplomatically YES,but that is all.Remember Russia has tons of Nuclear weapons

Well Tom Clancy's novels are things that are like historically possible to happen, and may.

Maybe they'll really send the "ghosts" in. And that would be hilarious (and tragic) if their missions are the same.

Sooner or later you'll hear them talking about the ghosts performing a rescue mission to save a downed pilot. (Mission 2 of Ghost Recon)

Clancy has shown a knack for describing realistic scenarios. I'm really surprised its taken this long. And I expected Ghost Recon 2's plot a few years ago.

OMG dude your right. i remember playin that on PS2 way back. They even  got the year right too. I remember the opening to the game was a story and it said "The year is 2008"

i dont really remember who was in the war but i do remember that. thats weird

Well... it "predicts" it as april 2008, so it failed... also, it's prediction of Fidel Castro death on 2006, on the Island Thunder expansion, also failed, so, it's just a coincidence...
