I recently went to a pub known for being very haunted, and sat next to a fireplace. I felt something brushing my arm, face, and my leg. It felt warm though, not cold! I even checked the numerous candles that were lit, but none were close enough near me to cause the sensation, and it came and went. Summer time, no fire on in the fireplace.
My partner was sitting across from me oblivious. He then said, "Time to go!" and I felt arms around my neck in a hugging fashion. It was tight but not threatening. This was very strange! It was like a child was standing behind me, as I sat in the chair.
I asked the owner and she told me they know of the ghost, her name is Elizabeth, 8, she fell down the stairs a couple of hundred years ago, when it was a house, (this pub is 700 years old!) and her body was buried under the fire place! (Skeleton was found and in records of place- Fell or pushed?)
2 different mediums gave same information to owner, one said fell, other said pushed. Both said Elizabeth and 8 years old. No mum in house, but grandma and a nanny at time. I was emotional about the hugging, and the owner was touched by it too. (Said that hasnt happened before.)
I went back, at a later date, and this time she was less active. Busy time in pub.... She tickled me, and then for half an hour stroked my hair! It was relaxing, peaceful and not cold which confuses me, because thats what everyone says its meant to feel like...
A man started to talk to me, (alone as partner didnt beleive me) and she pinched me on my arm, twice! Later that night, he gave me his number! (he is married and he did it secretly with wife and kids there!Explains the pinches-a warning as she knows him[Local man] ) I threw the number away and said clever girl.
I havent been back. Can anyone shed light? is this a ghost, all in my head, or what?? I want to go back, but the man for one, and of course I am told by some people that you shouldnt invite stuff like this into your life. I am a very spiritual person, beleive in God, so I am stumped, but feel sad for Elizabeth.
Thanks!
