Ghost Trackers?

I was observing an episode of ghost trackers and they have this device called the EMF

Electronic magnetic feild something like that (Not that sure)

The girl help it up to the gramaphone (Scale to 1-10)

It went up to a 10

Does the grammaphone has metal in it which could of caused the EMF to go up to 10 ?

OR is it made up of another substance

There is not really nessessarily a connection between EM fields and ghosts, however, there is a connection between EM fields and situations that we know cause people to believe they are experiencing ghosts.

We also know that stress, sleeping disorders, infra-sound, and various other situation can cause people to believe they are experiencing ghosts that are not really there.

Honestly, to my knowledge, there is not enough information known for anyone to detect and track ghosts with current technology.

Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) detectors detect EM fields and all appliances put them out (if plugged in and more so when turned on).

I have an old overhead projector that spikes my EMF detector right off the scale.

Many people use this device to try to indicate the presence of a ghost. I myself use it to correlate high fields with areas where ghosts have been reported. One theory is that high fields can cause people to hallucinate (visual and auditory) and might be a possible explanation for their experiences.

This has been semi-confirmed in laboratory studies that can give people exposed to a high enough field a sense of presence (feeling someone is in the room when no is). However, that is a huge field that most normal sources (wiring in the house, computers, stereos, etc.) are not capable of generating. Very little work has been done on the effects of these fields in everyday (homes, work) settings as it relates to paranormal experiences.
