The Olympus VN-960PC is an excellent EVP digital recorder from Radio Shack.  It comes in different models according to the record time you need.  The VN-960PC gives you 9 hours of record time on the SP setting which is good quality.  Better quality can be selected but record time will shorten.  This unit also dowloads recorded data via USB to a computer.  It cost around $70.

You will need two types of EMF meters.  AC and DC (natural).

The AC meters are used to detect AC (man-made) energy fields and are not generally associated with energy given off by ghosts.  It is suspected, however, that exposure high levels of AC energy fields can cause hallucinations and other biological malfunctions sometimes falsley associated with hauntings.  So, having an AC EMF meter is useful in ruling out man-made causes.  I use the Extech 480823 and highly recommend it.  It cost about $100 and can be ordered here: http://www.professionalequipment.com/ele...

The DC EMF meters detect electromagnetic energy caused by natural sources such as the type our bodies produce.  It is widely believed that ghost phenomena also produce this type of energy. Read the instructions carefully before using and applying these meters because an unexperienced or uninformed user will get false readings.  The meters must be used in a still or almost still setting and usually will give bad readings if you walk around with them.  You see people misusing these all the time on TV!  Learn how to use the products!

Before using any meter in a suspect location, it is vital for you to first take "base readings" during times when hauntings are NOT taking place!  Record this data first!  Readings are usless if there is no baseline data to compare them to.

the shadowlands has a good store. cameras from circuit city or best buy and recorders best selections and prices. I got my thermometers from tool men, such as mac tools or snap-on. they carry great products.I ordered my EMFs from the shadowlands. Bought my Nikon camera and my digital recorder from Circuit City. and my Sony Hard Drive cam corder from Best Buy. Its the only one with the Night Shot Infra Red options
