  1. The simple answer is no.It would be very difficult to find any University(not impossible)that takes the subject seriously. It's a fun hobby, but not a career.

  2. Franklin Pierce University is the only accredited US university that offers a minor in parapsychology (with a major in psychology) at the undergraduate level. This would take you 4 to 5 years on average.

However, all full members of the Parapsychological Association (link below) are required to have doctorate degrees. Most members have their doctorates in traditional sciences (psychology, physics, engineering, medicine, etc.) and teach in their traditional fields while conducting their own research. A VERY lucky FEW have the support of their university and other funding for their research.

What area of the paranormal you choose to study and what approach you wish to take will play a part in what education you seek. Do you wish to examine how people seeing a ghost effect their lives? Then psychology is a good choice. Do you wish to examine how objects can move or be influenced with the mind alone? Then physics (especially theoretical and/or quantum physics) might be the better choice.

Most researchers did their Masters thesis and/or doctoral dissertation on some paranormal subject. For instance the famous Carl Jung did his dissertation on the psychological study of a trance medium.

Look at the site below and will show you all the types of experiments you could be involved with. Parapsychology is an experimental science.

  3. that would be kewl,I love the supernatural.

  4. I doubt it.  It would probably create a credibility problem for a major university to offer something like this.

I have seen ads in magazines, for online courses, mailorder courses, etc.

But you can pretty much self educate yourself reading books, etc. in the bookstore, or library.    The people you see on TV are mostly self educated, and what they know can be learned in a very short period of time.  You can be just as "expert" as they are.   Most even offer other training in things such as Tarot, crystal gazing, etc.

Including a article with some links that I found.   Also you might look in magaznes like Fate, etc. for ads.

  5. If you do a search on resolved questions you will find this topic or similar was just discussed.

  6. Y should became as professional unemployed after that kind of school. I mean VERY interesting education, but who is gonna pay your salary?
