Ghost paralyzed me when I was waking up...

Question

So, two days ago, I found myself awake, with my eyes open but not moving telepathically, but the thing is: I couldnt move my body at all mentally. I remember yelling at my body internally and trying to get it back to my command but it didnt work.

Then this dark shadow stood over me kinda close (cuz i sleep on the floor... im a poor college student) and said "oh! someones in here" in a femine voice then it left. Meanwhile I was still trying to gain control of my body back by shouting at it telepathically.

And when I did, the only way to explain it, I felt like "wow, walking is weird. walking is kinda awkward." And i am ashame to say that I walked into a few things accidently. Then I ran through my apartments trying to find the ghost then I ran out my door and looked outside for it.

I just want to find someone who has experienced this before, so that I can feel like im not losing my grip. And no, this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened...

I think that you probably experienced a hypnapompic hallucination, which is quite common and nothing to be worried about.

Hypnapompic hallucinations happen when you're waking up and your brain confuses dreaming and reality, they can happen when you're falling asleep too and are known as hypnagogic hallucinations.

The experience can feel incredibly real and scary.

There is a form of a sleep disorders that causes paralysis upon waking.  I believe it is a form of narcolepsy.  You should discuss this with a doctor.

something like this has sort of happened to me...i was sleeping soundly when i woke up but couldn't move. the room was filled with smoke and a bright figure was in the middle of my room. i was terrified. it spoke to me and it said some strange things. one of the things it said was, "blah blah blah. that's all you ever do!" and then it left and i could get up. i never figured out what it was doing there or what it was trying to tell me. i do believe it was a spirit from beyond though.

ur having an out of body experience
