Ghost shrimp?

this morning i found what looks like part of the shrimps tail. i have 2 ghost shrimp in with my 4 platys, and right now i can't find the other shrimp but i see one of them. its the second time i've seen this. My question is do ghost shrimp shed their skin/skeleton what ever you call it? Also they're both ghost shrimp, but 1 is really white, what does that mean?

all organisms with exoskeletons shed. if its whiter its probably gonna shed sooner
