  1. Okay, I've got it!

Check for seismic activity in your area.

And there is no Dana, only Zul.

  2. I actually agree with Jonquill, she is a skeptic and I am somewhat a beliver. I see nothing abnormal. You can keep an eye out as far as observation goes but I see nothing out of the ordinary, I used to run a cafe.

One time I sat in the (cafe) freezer for an hour b/c I was so sun burnt I thought I was going to die.

  3. A minor earthquake could trigger the swinging.

  4. Sympathetic vibration is a possibility. Feel the handle, if it is vibrating that is a likely cause. It is the same reason why similar pendulum clocks on a common wall often synchronize.

  5. What's your question?

  6. A ghost is trying to get your attention.

  7. Since you say that the fridge motor vibrates that seems to be the most logical answer, maybe the motor was working a little harder tonight for some reason?

I can't imagine that a ghost (even if they existed) would find any reason to stand there swinging your lock for 10 minutes.

Edit: maybe there is an angry waitress accidentally locked in there? :-) If you don't get a good answer here try a more hard core science section or appliances maybe, I'm sure there will be be a logical answer.
