Theyre all not real, its your brain, your mind, your imagination taking place of your body, These things that people "encounter" are all just them, theres no such thing as ghosts, paranormal experiences, OBE, or anything to that nature, you watch these movies like white noise and white noise two and you want something to believe.

All comments and opinions are greatly excepted, please post.

  1. I have had so many experiences that its really difficult to recount a few to try and convince you. But you wont be conviced. You are not skeptical but merely closed minded. People who are skeptical are open to being convinced by a demonstration but it would appear that judging from your posting that you are not open to any thing. You broard statements "they're not real, its in your brain, your mind, your imagination". "These things that people encounter are all just them, there's no such thing as ghosts, paranormal experiences, OBE or anything to that nature......"

Well I must be a raving looney, my son and all the other people who have experiences - there is no hope for me and teh rest of "us". Raving looneys. Oh well here goes anyway.

I was about 18 when I rode home one night after vising my mother and brother. He was very sick with pains in his stomache. No one could work out what was the matter and the parenst who were caring for him did not think it warranted a doctor. When I got hom,e I watched TV and at 11 oclock at night had the strangest urge to go back to the house, but it was late and at night so I went to bed. In the morning I found out my brother was rushed to hospital with appedicitus and was in a critical condition.

When I was 19 I was asleep and half woke to this strange senstaion of somebody pulling the covers off me. I thought it was my room mate until I realised she was away. I sat up in bed to see this man - young man in a tuxedo with a very white face standing there then he sort of stepped into the corner and vanished.

When I was 26 I drove home from work. I stopped to get petrol as I am a creature of habbit and had been paid and part of my routinre was to withdraw  a substantial part of my pay to fil up the tank, py rent, pay bills, buy groceries.

Anyway I got this urge to just put $5 in the tank and fill up in the morning which I did. When I walked through the doors of the shop there were a pyramid of 5 litre oil containers. I again got this need/urge to buy oil although I argued I had plaenty in the boot with water and a petrol can. So then I drove down the road and I must of got lost because I found myself on an unfamilar road. I stopped the car but the voice in my head said drive they are all waiting for you si I did put my foot on the excellerator and...................

Went through a giveaway sign and rolled my small car twice. Every window shattered and i was covered in glass but.... I was ok appart from some broken ribs because i was covered in motor oil from my container that I had purchased 20 minutes befopre and threw it on the passenger seat. I rolled the car and had I of had a full tank I the car may of burst in to flames but I was ok. Someone was looking out  for me.

At 28 I moved into thsi falt and saw lots of weird things.

At 30 I stayed in a motel and was pinned down by this dark entity - other people have posted about it here.

At 32 I saw a ghost that was the previous owner of my house and my son saw the "nanny" person to.

Looney? ok no worries but I believe anyway.

  2. Well when you experience the Real thing you'll change your mind about the paranormal......until then you'll still be in the dark along with the other skeptics.

  3. You are absolutely right. Here's some more good news. The real world is even more wonderful, amazing, and magical..After,you've eliminated the silliness.Remember believe half of what you see and NONE of what you hear.

  4. Paranormal phenomenon, is something hard to understand. But you have to understand that there is phenomenon that occurs that defies explanation. My degree is in a science field, so when I began I was very skeptical. Now after about 40 paranormal investigations, I know that there is phenomenon that occurs based on scientific evidence. There are a lot of times when it is wanting to believe something that isnt there, and since the ghost hunting shows have been on, people want to belive that orb is a ghost, or that every sound is a ghost. If you really want to understand, go on a paranormal ghost hunt, but only with reputable individuals with experience. You will see the other side, but then again, not every time we investigate do we get data. The paranormal is not on our time schedule, they are on their own.

  5. I don't buy it. I've been following this stuff for years and NEVER seen anything. If anybody should have, it would be me after reading and learning about paranormal experiences for over 20 years.

It's one theory, but not the answer.

This might be true for some, but I don't believe it is for all.

I believe the truly enlightened know that we will never understand or explain everything around us.

  6. Sorry you feel that way your missing out on alot. But I respect your feelings.

I have houndreds of pic.and so many things that have happpen.I will agree sometimes our mind and eyes play tricks on us.

  7. No offense or anything but its not my mind or my imagination, i'd like to see who told you this or where the research is for this otherwise this is just your theory and your 2 cents. As an investigator i know for a fact most of this is not just in your head i do come across alot of cases that deals with that but thats not the case for everyone *shakes head* I'd like to see your research on this in order for this to be proven because i hate to break it to you there is alot research i do and alot of other teams out there who has research to prove ghosts exist.

  8. Welcome to the club of the enlightened-- you finally made it. It takes some a little while but some never get here at all.

  9. Heh, you "found out", meaning you've formulated sufficient evidence to disprove existence of ALL things paranormal? Huh! Fascinating...considering there has been evidence to the contrary; evidence time and time again that actually proves supernatural forces and entities such as ghosts and auras exist (through the use of advanced scientific devices, nonetheless). How simply stunning that you've had this miraculous revelation and are so certain of it that you declare to a section of Answers dedicated to "Paranormal Phenomena" that everything they've ever thought, seen, and  believed has been wrong!

Cheers on your findings, lad! Just one thing...where exactly is your evidence? All of Paranormal Phenomena waits with bated breath...

  10. So I guess that it is all in my brain that after I moved into a house where 2 children lost their lives in a fire. Lights were turned on during the night and after being turned out and got back into be the light would be turned back on again ( and our son was asleep), my wife's keys went missing from her handbag and 2 weeks later they were found in one of her shoes in her wardrobe. Her curling wand was missing for 3 years and we pulled the shelves apart many times but the hair curling wand was in the cupboard as we packed to move out of the rented house.

We had visitors over and they asked why our son was running in the hallway during the night untill we asked the visitors how many children were running . They said "sounded like 2 kids running". We only had one son.

I was a skeptic till this happened and it was a workmate who knew the family who lived there previously. This started happening BEFORE I found out the history of the house

  11. I suppose you will have to see to believe  - and even then won't believe your eyes.

Please tell me how I saw primative dentistry and surgery being performed in a coffee and book shop in an Aberdeen backstreet? -Everyone I talked to said "dentists didn't do that"

After a month of research I found the man- Alexander Fowler - Surgeon-dentist&Cupper used the premesis for 6 years in 1843-1849 - with no anesthetics. (there were only 10 surgeons in the whole town then)

I saw it - You explain it. I could draw you the chair if you want.

  12. yeah, i already knew that

  13. Yet how many people believe in religion?

  14. Your calling people who see ghosts psychotic then? NEWS FLASH: IF THERE WERE 5,000+ CLAIMS, THEN ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE PSYCHO? I THINK NOT. IT'S NOT IN OUR MIND. YOUR JUST A SKEPTIC. UNTIL YOU SEE A GHOST YOU WON'T BELIEVE. GHOSTS ARE REAL. AND IF YOU DON'T THINK SO THEN THAT'S YOUR OPINION, BUT I KNOW YOUR WRONG!

  15. They are real in that the parts of the con game that I see are real. The difference is that that parts that I don't see make what I do see deceptive.

  16. Could you then explain to me how multiple witnesses see and hear the same thing at the same time?

If it's just inside our head, no two people could experience the same thing, at the same time, in the same way.

I will never say never about the paranormal.  I've experienced things way too many times to totally discount it, and I've shared experiences with others at the same time, same place, same event, same details.

If the human mind is producing it all, it's just as wonderous and fascinating!

  17. They made a sequel to white noise? I didn't know that. Was it any good?

Oh yeah, I know and I think the majority of people realize that ghosts and such are just make believe, but there are enough people who believe that it creates a market for fakes like John Edwards and Sylvia Browne, which in turn perpetuates and feeds the people who believe.

For the record, I have encountered shadow people on many occasions, and I am confident they are tied in with my sleeping disorders, as well as other accounts of them. They do look very realistic though.

  18. You haven't experienced Shadow People, I have. so you are wrong A skeptic at heart.

  19. "lovetheamber."..Why don't you hang out with us awhile and see if your opinion stays the same. Miss Teddy just came on here..maybe she can share some experiences that might change your mind. (Welcome, Miss Teddy! Hope you stay with us awhile....we need you and would love to hear your experiences!)

"love"...maybe you could tell us scientific explanations of our experiences...instead of just saying"not real". I'll be watching for your explanations!

love..you said you "found out"!.Please tell us how you found out! Thanks!

  20. I disagree with you.

I grew up in a house where there were always strange things taking place.

Items moving on their own, odors not familiar to the family, strange music, whispers, shadows, and so forth.

I am 5'6". I saw a dark shadow of a man that was well over 6' tall and wearing a top hat like Abe Lincoln.

I have smelled cigar smoke, fresh pine scent, and sweet perfumes in the dead of winter and the house was closed up.

And as far as I knew, we didn't have smell-o-vision while watching TV.

I have watched a glass vase being picked up and moved to another location.

I have been in my bedroom laying in bed, when suddenly the room would get cold. And right before I could reach down to the end of my bed and pull a blanket over myself, something else did it for me instead.

I've heard our piano playing by itself. No one but my mother could play and she wasn't home.

I've been in buildings where it was like de je vue, and yet I had never been there before.

I've had dreams of things happening, and within a few days the same things happened as in the dream. Same conversations with the same people.

Sorry, but there have been countless things that I have been a witness to that myself and others have witnessed in this house for me to believe it was all in my imagination.

  21. Well since you can't prove a negative using the rules of logic then one can not logically conclude "Ghost don't exist"

Thus your reasoning and your conclusion is not logical.

I agree that many experiences can be explained by natural/normal means however many can not.

You also make the mistake common to skeptics and other people with no education and training in science of grouping all types of experiences (ghost, OBEs,) into one category called "paranormal"

Very careful work has been done by very competent scientist in very specific areas of the paranormal.

For instance OBEs (which indicate that something might actually leave the body) has been refined as the term "Remote Viewing" which indicates information acquired from afar but does not require anything to leave the body.

Although some experiments with positive results have been done for detecting the person during an OBE or Remote Viewing episode.

Jessica Utts in her government sponsored evaluation of the Star Gate program states:

"Using the standards applied to any other area of science, it is concluded that psychic functioning has been well established. The statistical results of the studies examined are far beyond what is expected by chance. Arguments that these results could be due to methodological flaws in the experiments are soundly refuted. Effects of similar magnitude to those found in government-sponsored research at SRI and SAIC have been replicated at a number of laboratories across the world. Such consistency cannot be readily explained by claims of flaws or fraud."

I guess science comes to a different conclusion than you have.

  22. Who can absolutely prove this? No one can. Not everything has to be logical.

Yes, I understand, there are firm skeptics, and firm believers. I have clairvoyance. Therefore, obviously, I'm a believer.

People say there is no possible way to be any such thing as the paranormal. Yet, well, they still have religions. NOT that it is paranormal to have a religion. It's like this: some people KNOW, some people believe, and some people are skeptics.

    If you believe, you believe.

    If you don't, you don't.

  23. TV and movie portray ghost in a very unbelieveable way. Thank God not all experinces are like TV.  But some are.  I invite you to google HAUNTED SURVIVORS and you will see about real people who were once skeptics.  Their books are amazing.  And when you meet them in person they are so sincere and normal.  They will make beleivers out of you.

  24. I'm with you sister.  However, since you can't disprove the existence of those imaginary things you must be agnostic to the possibility of their existence, as hard as that may be.

EDIT: It's so entertaining to see the true believers asking you for your proof, considering they--who are claiming something exists--have absolutely none themselves.
