it was just believed in olden times because of things like cats eyes shining in the dark etc etc...................they believe coz 4 everythin has opposites eg- positive charge has negative charge same way god has ghost..........

Yes, it's true. What's worse is that they eat human flesh. Be sure to check beneath your bed before sleeping.

There are no such thing as ghosts.  The reason why people believe is because of the mystery of the after-life.   There are a lot of cultural beliefs that we learn about and sometimes come to believe.  Movies and Ghost hunting shows do not help the situation.  People sometimes can believe so hard they think the see what they believe which is normal.  It's human nature.

Why was this question not asked in myths and folklore or spiratuality?  You are asking a group of science people a supernatural question.

you can beleive in anything you dont see if you brainwash yourself enough to beleive it like god,Zeus, toothfairy, santa claus, easter bunny,etc
