Ghosts real or figments of imagination? ?

Do you think ghosts are real or are just figments of your imagination? Minds are very powerful things and the only people I hear of ever seeing ghosts are ones who believe in them?

My only scary moment happened when I was 13 ( I do not believe in ghosts) I was asleep I half woke up turned over with the urge to look behind me and a black woman in a white dress was standing just looking at me. I turned over giving it no thought and then jolted awake scared out of my mind looking around but there was nothing there, I figured it was just a dream a figment of my imagination or a dream.

I am always looking to give myself proof but... I think it just your mind playing tricks on you because you want to see something?

The reason that the only "ghost stories" you hear are fom people who "believe in them" is because #1 the people who do not or say they do not believe it simply pass the experience off for their "mind playing tricks on them" the way you just did, or #2 they are ashamed to admit it, or #3 perhaps they simply have not had the experience. I'm not here to tell you what I believe or disbelieve but I will tell you this, what you see is what you see. How you interpret that is up to you. It is also up to you wether you choose to share your' experiences with others. If you do choose to share them be prepared for the critisism and disbelievers. I say keep your' mind open to the possibility of it being true. If you have those experiences, see it as a gift that not everyone possesses. Take care!

I think ghosts are real. I haven't had any experiences myself, but the Bible says that people won't go into heaven until judgement day. Where are all of those souls until then?

I believe in ghosts/spirits and have had some experiences with them. I won't go into details now though..

it must have been a figment of your imagination. ghostly figures may only exist if they are gaseous beings, which are planets creatures have not yet evolved into yet. it is just your frightened mind reacting with your memory of ghost stories, turning shapes in the darkness into ghost images inside your head.

Well, my believes are that ghost are very real.  Maybe not ghost exactly but spirits that haven't crossed over to the afterlife yet.  I almost feel sorry because they don't know how or have to fulfill something to be able to cross over.  I too have a story.  I was about 8 years old.  I had the bedroom that looked out into the hallway that led into our living room.  One night I heard howling coming from the living room.  I walked into the hallway and I saw a native american boy with a bow and arrow pointed at me.  He let go of the arrow and I felt really sick and tired.  I just went back to bed  and in the morning I told my parents.  I guess we will never really know if ghost exist, but if you believe it, keep believing.

what you had was one of those half awake half asleep things. ive had a few of those. where I'm half awake and i hear voices sometimes even see things in my room moving then when I'm fully awake the voices are gone and everything is back where i left it. one time when i was half asleep i heard a window break and i jolted awake and ran all over the house looking for that broken window. there was nothing. that's just your mind still in the dream state. that's not a ghost.

as for ghosts i do want to believe they exist but so far i havent really had any personal evidence that would make me think they are real. i have looked for ghosts in a few places places that were supposedly haunted and i saw and heard nothing strange. there are some other people that only have 1 experience and claim it was a ghost and nothing more. i think of them just thinking what they want to think and not looking at the real picture. like what else could it of been. could it be an old furnace making the banging when its starting up or could it be what you call a ghost. that kinda thing.

I am Christian.  I believe that it is Biblical that there are no ghosts.  When folks die, God handles it.  They don't just hang around here. The Bible is very clear about this.  Nobody hangs around as a "ghost".  That's absurd.

However.....the Bible is very and extremely specific in mentioning that demons are all over the place.  Demons are horrible and they are tricky too.  They will do all kinds of dirty tricks to get you to let them hang around in your house and cause major problems.  They will prey upon your sympathy and then attack you or your kids.

Jesus went around healing the sick and casting out demons.  And yet, the problem with demons was so widespread that he had to recruit 12 disciples to help him to cast them out.  And then he had to recruit 42 ( 42 or so?  Somebody correct me here.)  more people to make into disciples so that they could help too.  Demons are everywhere and they are stubborn.  Not believeing is demons is the best way for them to thrive!

I believe that what you saw was a demon.  She looked like a normal ghost black lady in a white dress.  This is because demons often dress up like deceased people and try to make us think they are harmless ghosts.  These beings are NOT harmelss.  They will harm you, they will hurt you, and they will hurt your children.  You need to get rid of this being.  That demon should not be in your house.  Throw her/it out immediately.  Claim your house for God and tell that spirit that it absolutely can not stay here by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazarene.

You need to research this.  This is a spiritual attack upon your home!!!  Do not underestimate it.  There are steps that you can take.  You might want to call your clergy.  GET RID OF THIS BEING!!!!  You are in horrible danger and so is every single member of your household.

Its real contrary to popular belief ghosts are real and will harm you in many ways.Try not to think of what may happen.*shudders*  they are dangerous. I have seen a haunted house and what it can harbor. i have been attacked by them(ghosts) or what ever. throw it out quickly.

this may sound funny but I have been watching Ghost Hunters and those other Ghost shows on Sci Fi.... Sometimes they really seem to pick up stuff on their funny gadgets.   It could all be TV magic, but watching this stuff may have changed my mind about it.  Personally, I have never seen any..  Thank goodness!!!

I know for a fact ghosts are real, for multiple reasons. One reason is because I have a friend who didn't used to believe in them until he stayed the night at his cousin's house. Their house is haunted and he didn't believe them when they told him. He got a bit of a wake up call, he saw one. I've seen a ghost myself too, and so have a few of my friends and my mom. We live in a really old town that soldiers used to battle in, so there's a lot of ghosts, but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about them. They're pretty much all soldiers so it's not like they're really doing anything to hurt or scare anyone. But yeah, I really truely belive they are real.
