Gian Piero Gasperini happy Inter Milan proceedings in pre-season games – Serie A Update
Newly appointed Inter Milan head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, has claimed that he is happy with how things have started for his team ahead of the 2011/12 season. The Serie A giants are currently playing the pre-season friendly games and have stayed undefeated
in the first four games.
However, after three easy victories against Trentino, Mezzocorona and Cremonese, Inter were held to a 0-0 stalemate by the Turkish giants Galatasaray. Gasperini reckons that the Turkish outfit was a step ahead of them in terms of quality on the field and

The newly signed head coach, while giving an interview to Inter’s official website, said:
"This was a real match and away from home at that. It was a great step forward regarding rhythm and match atmosphere. We did some things that needed to be done and we still have others to see too. We did what we had prepared in bursts and we need match practice
and experience to put right what was missing."
The Serpent’s tactician was highly impressed by the output of young Nigerian midfielder, John Obi, during the pre-season matches. Gasperini believes that the young sensation would play a key role in the 2011/12 season and would form an important part of
the team.
"He's a young lad and he's very interesting. When he tidies up his game, he'll be even more useful,” said the tactician.
