The former Inter Milan manager has revealed that he will soon meet with the Dolphins authorities to talk about a move to the Serie A’s new boys.
Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed that he will soon hold a meeting with Pescara directors, regarding the vacant head-coach position at the Stadio Adriatico.
Zdenek Zeman led the Delfini to Serie B championship this season, earning them a place in the next year’s Serie A.
However, the Biancazzurri are on the look-out for a new manager, after their coach resigned from the club to manage AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in their next campaign.
Pescara yesterday confirmed that Gasperini is included in their list of interest to fill the space left vacant by Zeman.
Gasperini admitted that he is set to meet with the Pescara directors, and start negotiations for a possible move to the Dolphins.
The sacked http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan boss refrained from giving much details, but stated his belief that a chance to coach a team like the Biancazzurri will prove to be an exciting experience for him.
The former Genoa head-coach stated that he is undecided as yet on whether to join the newly promoted outfit or not, and insisted that he will go into the meeting with an open mind.
Gasperini stated that he will waste no effort on predicting the outcome of the get-together with Pescara directors, and insisted that he will listen with keen interest to what is communicated to him by the Delfini executives.
While talking to Il Messaggero, the 54-yaer-old said:
“I will go and have a chat with the Pescara directors. I can’t really say anything else, apart from the fact that it would be a stimulating experience to boss a team like that. I’ll listen with interest to what they have to say, but I don’t know what will
happen.”
The former Genoa tactician is re-nowned for his 3-4-3 system, and was sacked by Inter Milan after failing to gather much wins for the Nerazzurri, and replaced by Claudio Ranieri.
Pescara’s list of interesting prospects includes former Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi, former Cesena manager Marco Giampaolo and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 Under-21 coach Ciro Ferrara.
