Giancarlo Stanton probably to return next week as he plays rehab games - MLB Update
Declared out from the season just before the beginning of the All-Star break, the Miami Marlins’ outfielder Giancarlo Stanton makes impressive strides in recovery from the injury. He is set to play in the rehab games now. As per the reports, he may join
the Marlins’ line-up in the next week.
The Marlins are having a terrible season so far. The defeats that they have piled up have brought them to maintaining a dismal position on the National League East Division table. Their offence has proven to be one of the weakest in the National League.
Amidst ordinary shows by the hitters, Giancarlo Stanton has turned out to be the only batter with the Marlins who has launched mammoth home-runs and has done so on a consistent basis.
Until he was injured, his performance was by far better than any other player in the team's line-up.
It was the acknowledgment of his slugging mastery that he was included in the All-star roster and was called up for the Home Run Derby this year. Stanton was the only player who was chosen from the Marlins for the ASG.
However, unfortunately, his injured had disallowed him to feature in the game.
Meeting the injury at a time when Stanton was about to cherish the most special moments of his life by playing in the ASG was disheartening for him.
Right now, he is ready to resume the expedition again. By proving in the rehab games that he has gained his composure, he can earn the call in the team no later than the next week.
His addition will be taken pleasantly by the clubs’ officials. The management is fed up watching players wasting at-bats and putting up subpar shows on the plate.
