Gianfranco Zola tips A.C Milan or Napoli for the Scudetto: Serie A news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 legend, Gianfranco Zola, believes that the 2011/12 Scudetto will be a two-horse race between A.C Milan and Napoli.
Despite a slow start to the season from both teams, Zola believes that both of them will shift gears and pick up the pace in the next few games. Napoli are placed 5th with 11 points from seven games. On the other hand,
Milan have also picked the same number of points and are placed 7th in the table.
The former Napoli star insisted that the two teams are favourites to win the title for just one reason that they have retained their managers and the rest of the title contenders have all installed new bosses before the summer.
“I think the title could be between Napoli and Milan. It’ll be a clash between a club who are insisting with their project and a club who are used to winning, a team who have a squad to be respected and a Coach who has been able
to immediately settle.”
The former striker insisted that Napoli boss, Walter Mazzarri, is looking to build on the last season’s success and his team is looking extremely dangerous this season. The former Cagliari star also praised his former employer’s
UEFA Champions League form and insisted that they will continue to impress everyone.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 boss Walter Mazzarri, meanwhile, is proposing something new and interesting. They finished third last season and are doing well in the Champions League."
The 45-year-old praised the form of some of the other title contenders but he believes that they do not have enough to go till the end. The former West Ham United boss is impressed with the A.S. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 project but believes that it
needs time to develop.
“I’m intrigued by Roma. The arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Baldini, one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to international football, is a guarantee.”
Zola believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Juventus will all challenge for the Scudetto but they will slip at some point in the season.
The former Italian international spent almost four years at Napoli before moving to Parma in 1993.
