http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluca-Zambrotta-c14831 has voiced his concerns over his contract with AC Milan, which is set to expire at the end of the season. However, he also insisted that is inappropriate to discuss his future at a time, when the league is going through a crucial phase
for the team.
The Rossoneri are currently placed second to leader Juventus, in the run to the Scudetto. The Diavolo will need to bridge a three-point gap to Old Lady, with just three games remaining, in order to lay claim to the Serie A title once again.
Zambrotta is one of the 10 Rossoneri players awaiting the renewal of their contracts this season.
The Diavolo defender’s agent stated that the future plans will have to wait until the last match of the season. He insisted that the club has the right to postpone the contract negotiations until the last moment, and maintained that he can wait until the
season end to talk his contract with the club authorities.
The representative for the full-back insisted that they cannot allow the negotiation talk to divert their attention from the game at hand. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player’s spokesperson insisted that the season is passing through a grim phase for the Rossoneri,
and all the players must focus on how to overturn the Scudetto race back into their favour.
While talking to the press, Giuseppe Bonetto said:
“The future starts after June 30. Milan have the right to allow a player’s contract to run down and then evaluate things. Now, however, is not the time to think about what will happen. The championship is at a hot stage right now, so we’ll have to wait and
see.”
The 35-year-old’s agent went on to state that the player will be looking to prolong his stay at the Champions, as it is hard to leave a club like AC Milan.
Zambrotta was a part of the 2006 World Cup winning team, and was acquired by the Rossoneri for a reported sum of €10m from Barcelona.
