The Juventus goalkeeper says that the Real Madrid and Bayern Munich duo has the quality to be as good as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 and also hailed France manager Didier Deschamps
Just a few days before an international friendly between France and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833 spoke a bit about the future opponents.
At the age of 34, Buffon continues serving the cause of Italian Serie A giants, Juventus with youthful passion. Apart from laces of a few white hair, the Italian’s passion has not mellowed down at all and ahead of the game against Les Bleus, the Juve star
spoke about his time under the tutelage of Didier Deschamps who will be at the dugout when the two footballing powerhouses clash.
Didier Deschamps was named the manager of Calciopoli stricken and relegated Juventus in 2006 following his Champions League exploits with AS Monaco. And, in his first and only season with La Vecchia Signora, the 44-year-old guided them back to Serie A football.
Despite spending a short time with Deschamps, Buffon still has fond memories of his time with the Bayonne native. While talking about DD, the Italian custodian said that Deschamps passed his knowledge of football to the squad very serenely and it is not
a surprise to see him managing the national side.
“He passed his knowledge and serenity to the squad. This is not a surprise to see him here as a coach of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. He was already a little down to earth right? He had a philosophy, not Italian, but of a European level. He played in four countries and has a
lot of experience in his luggage.”
And if Italy have seen a revolution of their own between 2010 and 2012, Gigi feels that France are still rebuilding but in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 and Messi.
“It (team France) is embodied by Benzema and Ribery. I like them to death but they can do even better. To me, they have the qualities and the potential to reach the level of Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Indeed, Buffon’s statements would be much appreciated by two players who are truly France’s greatest hopes of becoming a footballing powerhouse again.
