Giant Sponge to stop global warming effects?

Whatf theyre was a giant sponge or some kind of machine that would soke up the water from the melting ice, or maybe they could relpace the melting ice with more ice, would that work

no there will be very little melting of ice. most of the increased sea levels will be due to the thermal expansion of the worlds current oceans. anyhow sea levels rising presents no real concern if we don't address the issues of food and water shortages that global warming could cause if we do not act soon.

...it might work (probably best on the smaller scale though)

but the poor little fishies will be trapped inside and travelling by water might get a little difficult

i don't think that replacing the ice will work because it will just melt again and increase the sea level even more  <:(

Sounds like a good idea to me.  Especially the replacing ice part.  Also, spraying water droplets into the sky.  That would help replace the lost water over and cool the land.

Would also be less expensive than the global warming scams, like carbon credits, presently being perpetrated.

I still think giant atomic powered HVAC units would work the best.  You could incorporate Honeywell HEPA filters, aroma therapy, and Sofnolime CO2 scrubbers all in one package.

interesting. at least someone has ideas to solve global warming. cuz last i checked all those environmentalist meetings on climate change: of suit wearers, limo takers, and large banquet halls, were causing more pollution than they prevented. Davos- shame shame on you
