Giants’ Antrel Rolle upset on recent loss, Justin Tuck vows to play better against Saints – NFL News
Just like his teammates and coach, New York Giants’ safety Antrel Rolle is also frustrated and upset on the team’s recent loss at the hands of Philadelphia Eagles in the week 11 encounter game of the National Football League current
season.
Rolle has said that his team is much better and tougher than Eagles and that’s why the defeat is hurting him badly. He further said that his team was too calm and relaxed against Eagles.
“We’re too calm, man. We’re too relaxed come Sunday. We’re too poised. There’s a way of going out there and having that dog in you, having that fight in you, and at the same time playing smart.”
Meanwhile, defensive end Justin Tuck who performed remarkably well in the last season has admitted that his game-play in the current season is far from satisfactory. Last season, he started all the 16 games for Giants and recorded
a total of 76 tackles and 11.5 sacks.
One of the main hurdles behind is slacked performance this season is his neck and groin injuries that have forced him out of four games. He has made five starts in the six games he has played this season, and managed 15 tackles
and 2.0 sacks.
However, he is committed to take on New Orleans Saints this Sunday and said that he would play as best as he could to ensure victory for his team.
"Whatever percentage I am on Sunday I am going to give it to the football team," he said. "I don’t really care what the outcome is. We'll deal with it throughout the week, but on Sunday I am not going to sit back and kind of pitty
pat my way through a football game."
The confusion in the Giants’ camp is evident after the loss against Eagles. Firstly, coach Tom Coughlin termed the offense ‘pathetic’. The coach’s remarks were followed by the discontentment of defensive tackle Chris Canty and
a few other players.
Apparently, the reactions have come in the wake on an inescapable fact that Giants were leading the National Football League East division before the last weekend, but after the failure against Eagles, they were forced to abdicate
the position and are now ranked at the second spot in the division ranking, and hence raising concerns about their entry into the playoffs.
