Giants and Lincecum?

will the giants be able to hold on to lincecum?

How long until he joins another team?

He's got around 4/5 years of team control left, and 2 before he gets to go to arbitration.  You don't usually see deals like Longoria/Tuly with young pitchers because they want to see if their arms hold up and would rather risk that than buying out their arbitration years.  SF has a ton of money and he won't go anywhere for 10 years.

They will keep the kid and build around him...or at least they should.  Would be so stupid if they got rid of him.

giants will never get rid of lincecum he is our future to build around... even the giants owner said that he is not 4 sell...not on the market... and plus he said on the radio he would love to retire as a giant..

The Giants have the money to keep him.  He's living up to the billing of top young pitching stud and those are a diamond in the rough.

I think that Blue Jays management are kicking themselves for not pulling the trigger on the trade of Lincecum for Rios straight up.  You take a look at the numbers this year, and that would be grand theft for the Jays!

If the Giants are smart they will keep him. He is the only good thing to happen to the Giants this year.

they will sign him to a longterm deal cause he is the giants franchise player. Thank god they didnt trade him in the offseason for Alex Rios

They should unless he feels the Giants are going nowhere in the next few years he is there.

If the Giants can show some progress of building and he decides he would like to hang around. It would be best for the Giants to lock him up early just as the Mets did Reyes and Wright before they became free agents.

I believe he will realize that he is bigger than the Giants and move on to a team like the Red Sox or Yankees or Cubs or Mets in no longer than 5 years
