yup. he was invited by staci slaughter of the giants, the pr lady. most significant giants outfielders were invited, and no special treatment was given to barry. others coming include mays, mitchell, and williams

Yes.  It's basically a reunion of Giant's outfielders from almost every decade since they arrived in SF.  It does not look like it's really mandatory, because the past two (pitchers and infielders) reunions did not include every single surviving SF Giant.  I think it's just by invitation and the ex players are free to send their regrets if they cannot attend.

It will be interesting to see the crowd reaction towards Barry since the Giants have not even lifted a finger to try "selling" him to other teams, even if he's not an active MLB player.....  All he did for the Giants, and all they do for him is have a small and simple plaque in the park commemorating the HR's he hit.  Such loyalty to someone who gave the Giants record breaking attendance when he was wearing the Orange and Black.....
