Gibson Hummingbird or Martin D-28?

If you had a choice between either of these for free, which would you choose?

  1. Hi Patrick, if I had a choice, without hesitation and having owned one prior to this question, the Hummingbird . Not that the D-28 is ot good . I also owned one.

    But for the prestige and re-sale value, Gibson for sure. Even soundwise, that guitar alond with their model called The Dove are awesome in sound and durability.

    This is a personal taste and I repeat, the D-28 is neck in neck to the Hummingbird.


  2. Hummingbird without batting an eye. That's a guitar to make you weak in the knees.

  3. The Martin D-28 without question.  The D-28 is the workhorse of the industry used by countless professionals. The Hummingbird is a typical overbuilt Gibson acoustic with lousy tone.

  4. I'd probably take the Martin D-28.  I've played various friends' Martins and liked them quite a bit, never tried a Gibson Hummingbird.
