Hi im searching for a guitar made by Gibson USA. They recently stopped making the guitar and was wondering how i could find one? The only site i found was this one: http://www.imuso.co.uk/ProductDetail.asp?StockCode=EG01616 Now if its made in the u.s. then why is it in that currency? Is it a fake? Also if its real how much money does that transfer to in us dollars and could i buy it from the u.s.?

  1. Im not an expert on Gibsons, but all gibsons are made in USA. However, you are buying this from a UK website, meaning the guitar is located in UK (in Europe). this explains why its priced in UK Pounds and not in US Dollars. this also means that you proably need to pay a significant ammount of money on shipping and perhaps even customs tax.

Usually, websites have a limited number of these kinds of highly priced item. I would be surprized if they have more than 3. So ask them via Email or phone for a SERIAL NUMBER. Every guitar has a unique serial number.

then you can check the serial with Gibson's customer service and see if this guitar is legit or fake.

once your sure that the serial number is registered with gibson, you know that the guitar is safe to buy.

this will cost you at least $3,200 plus overseas shipping.

    £1.00 = $2.00 approximately.

I have found the same model (60's neck) with different colors for $700 less on US websites. i found other trans black les pauls on www.musiciansfriend.com without the 60s neck but with chrome hardware.

but if you want the trans black 60's neck, your only bet is either that uk website or a direct oreder from gibson usa.

good luck, and take your time. contact the UK website.
