Gient millipedes?!?!?! plz answer this one if u know anything

hey, how do i get my new millipede to socialise with me and get more used to being carfully handled?

its an insect, it is incapable of socializing with you.

its a millipede it doesnt know what socialising is. it will learn that u are not a threat (maybe) but that is about it

just handle it allot. i don't think they can bite. but i mean its a bug, its not like a dog. its a vegetarian so its not going to try to eat you. i would just handle it allot. hope this helps

I'm assuming that this is a giant African millipede. These are fantastic pets. They actually have wonderful personalities. They usually like to hide in dark places as you may have already found out if you have a hiding spot for it. They are strict vegetarians and usually love banana and cooked sweet potato or yam. Don't put it in there hot though, and they actually prefer fresh not day old fruits. If you hold the banana on your hand it may sit in your hand and eat. But these guys usually are just fun to watch climb around. be extremely careful when handling them as they are very fragile.
