I need an Idea for my 85yr old nana. Her Birthday is the 30th. She is full blood italian. Grew up in the bronx. She loves to eat and loves to garden. and she loves children. The gardening season is almost over so i don't need to get her anything for outdoors. I want to give her something that will show my love and respect for her. She is the oldest of 5 sisters whom all except one have passed away, along with her husband. She is the sweetest little old lady I have ever met!

  1. i think you should take her out to eat to her favorite restaurant and take her to the movies to see a movie that she likes or bowling!! thats what i would do

  2. At that age a person shouldn't want anything material. They feed on memories. So maybe you can find some pictures of you, her, and the family and make a small scrap book for her. I bet that would really make her happy.

  3. WHY NOT A CD OF ALL THE PICS YOU CAN FIND OF HER N EVERYONE,,I HAD ONE MADE UP FOR MY GRANNY,,AND SHE LOVED IT I EVEN HAD HER FAVORITE MUSIC,,ON IT "OLAN MILLS "DOSE A WONDERFULL JOB,,,GOOD LUCK ....PEACE

  4. Pictures are worth a 1000 words.  Scrapbook is a great idea, or......you can do a framed photo collage.  I did one for my husbands grandfather when he got really sick with cancer and couldn't come visit anymore.  I had a picture of him with his 5 kids when they were little, a picture of him at his sons's (my husband's father) wedding, a picture from his wedding, pictures of him with all of his grandchildren, pictures of him holding his great grandchildren for the first time (my children).  You just place them in a frame and at the craft store they actually have clear sticker quotes so they look like the words are written on the paper.  They specifically have ones for family.  This way, it's something she can hang up and see everytime she passes it and she can also show it off to people.  Try to get pictures of milestones......her wedding, children, grandchildren, other weddings she was involved with, important moments........Good luck!
